Last weekend was the last I spent in Queenswood. Thinking about that makes me really sad but I must admit this weekend was fabulous!
The thing I liked the most was of course the disco!Although it was not as good as the last one - we really miss the Italian boys - we had a lot of fun.An other Dj was at the turntables and he played a mixture of old and new songs!
I will definitely miss the disco!!!;-)cya

Our second academic excursion
Yesterday we had our second academic excursion.
It started near the Tower of London and we ended up at the HMS Belfast.
Before we had to wait for our coach about half an hour. After we could finally go on the bus I instantly tried to sleep. Unfortunately it didn't work.
One and a half hours later we arrived at London and we visited a memorial near the Tower of London.
Our blue guide Reg showed us another side of London and afterwards we had a lot of new impressions. Furthermore we saw the street in which the Great Fire of London started in 1666 and we visited plague memorials and a church.
At lunchtime we had- like on all the excursions- a "delicious" sandwich, an apple, a KitKat and plain water.
With empty stomachs and very tired we visited the HMS Belfast.
I really liked it but although I spent about one and a half hours on the boat I don't know much about it.
Benedikt and I were faced with a little adventure. An Austrian boy "lost" - in fact his parents let him stay on the boat on his own - his parents. The security men on the
boat asked us to translate the things they wanted to tell him.
After all that I was very tired and therefore I had no porblems to sleep on the bus!

My first weekend
This weekend was amazing!
It started with a wonderfull trip to Cambridge, went on with a lot of music and dance and ended with a very exciting stay at Thorpe Park!!!!
At Cambridge we probably should have visited the beautiful monuments, but I preferred the mall. River Island, Accessorize a pit stop at Starbucks and French Connection costed me a lot of money. ;-)
Whatever....I really liked the city and in the end I bought a typical Cambridge jumper.
After shopping we had to prepare for the disco!Actually I thought that the disco is going to be very,very boring BUT it was definitely the week's surprise.
On Sunday a few people including me went to the amazing Thorpe Park. Ludovica, Isabel and I bought a FASTTRACK ticket. Therefore we didn't have to queue.
We did them all!
Rush, Vortex, Stealth,...it was really amazing.
Adrenalin was everywhere in my body but at the end at the of day I was very,very tired and I slept like a log.

Some boy, I guess they are italians, made a CD and it was really good...thanks for that!
Everybody was dancing and we had a really good time. ;-)

A rainy London excursion
Our first academic excursion started straight after breakfast.
We had our "stylish" red backpacks and after an one hour bus trip we arrived at the beautiful but - SURPRISE SURPRISE - rainy London.
After we met our Blue Guide at the Barbican, which is a big tourist center in Central London our tour began.
At first we saw a hospital, which is now meant to be a home for old people.
Our guide also told us some spooky stories about each place we visited.
During our tour we passed a pub that is allowed to "open too early and to close too late", a church where in front of it a mass plague grave is situated and we also pased St. Bartholemew's, where the Scots patriot from Braveheart died.
Afterwards we passed a golden boy, which is a marker for the big fire in 1660. One of the last things we saw was the marker for the old Roman wall.
It took us about two hours to see all those things. The walk was quite wearisome and therefore we all were very hungry.
So we got our lunch bags and walked to the Tower of London.
I was in a group of about six people and all of a sudden we didn't see any red backpacks. I thought that we got lost.
Fortunately I was wrong. I just didn't know that we were allowed to visit the Tower of London on our own.
The Tower Bridge is really beautiful and I also saw a ship on the Thames passing under the bridge.
Inside the tower I saw the Spanish and British Armoury but the Crown Jewels were definitel
y more impressive.
They are beautiful and it's amazing how they are made. One crown even consists of about 536 carats.
Although the weather was bad I really enjoyed the trip, but I feel very sorry for the Beefeaters (guards) that have to stand outside no matter how the weather is.
